This is just plain ignorance. Athletes who have never spent any time in Milwaukee, never seen the Calatrava, been to Miller Park, or checked out any one of several great golf courses, slamming our fair city.
Well, here we go again. The Wizards Gilbert Arenas is known as Agent Zero...and this zero cuts loose on us on his blog...firing off this blast:
“Richard Jefferson going to
Milwaukee
…. HAHAHA! Oh man, now that is funny. When I heard that, I started laughing. Oh man, did I start laughing. You know why? Because every player hates
Milwaukee
. Nobody wants to live in
Milwaukee
. I’m sorry, Milwaukee, to come down hard on you, but no one in the NBA wants to play in
Milwaukee
.
From him going from New Jersey, actually from New York (because he lives in New York), from New York to
Milwaukee
is like going … let’s just say it’s not going to sit well with you. That was a funny one when I heard that one. I know Yi is happy though.”
Well, I don't think the Bucks will be using that in the media guide next year. But I do hope Bucks fans treat Agent Zero as Public Enemy Number One when Washington comes to town. Maybe it's leftover anger from 2000, when Arenas, Jefferson and the much more
talented and top seeded Arizona Wildcats were booted out of the NCAA tourney by Dick Bennett, Mike Kelley, and the scrappy Badgers. I should know...I was there in the Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City when Wisconsin shocked the world.
Take that, you clown.
