Yes, the Bucks have been working the phones, and the phone occasionally rings at the Cousins Center.
But more than likely, the team will remain with the 8th pick in this year's NBA draft.
So with the 8th pick in the 2008 NBA Draft, the Milwaukee Bucks select...
West Virginia Forward Joe Alexander.
You want details? Here they are. He goes 6'8", weighs 230 pounds. Last year really blossomed under West Virginia Head Coach Bob Huggins as a First Team All-Big East selection. He averaged 17 points per game, and had back to back 32 point contests. He lit up Duke with 22 points, 11 boards and 3 blocks in the Mountaineers' win over Duke in the second round of the NCAA tourney.
Alexander can hit the 3, can leap out of the gym, and can go inside, making him a tough matchup.
That being said, 6'10" forward Anthony Randolph of LSU is a possible backup choice, but more of a project. I'd love 6'2" guard Russell Westbrook out of UCLA, but I don't think he'll last that long. If he does, and the Bucks draft him...bye bye Mo Williams.
