Ted Thompson just can't get a break.

He has 23 draft picks in his first 3 drafts with the Packers, still playing in the NFL.

He picked up a great value in QB Brian Brohm, and a corner...and a tight end, all positions of need.

Yet when he stepped to the podium here at Lambeau Field yesterday, he heard a loud smattering of boos from the Packers fans assembled here for the draft party.

Yes, no one has heard of Jordy Nelson. But can anyone honestly tell me if they've even watched a Kansas State game? And getting a solid backup QB in Brian Brohm, and a press corner that plays the Packers agressive bump and run scheme, especially when Al Harris and Charles Woodson are getting a little long in the tooth...that's pretty good in and of itself.

For the Packers to get a tight end, and a guard to compete for a starting job on day two...that's just icing on the cake.

Hey, Ted even traded up for the first time in 11 draft day moves with the Packers to get DE Jeremy Thompson, so give the man a break!
