I'll spare you a long, blow-by-blow break-down on the Packers-Vikings game Monday Night.
Still, 2 days after the outcome, there are still a few words about the game that are bouncing around in my head. Thought I'd share...then use them in a sentence.
Here we go:
Dismantled: As in, the Vikings completely dismantled the Packers.
Shambles: As in, the Packers offensive line is in a shambles.
Shambles (2): As in, the Packers safety position is in a shambles too.
Never: As in, never before has a 7-point loss felt so much like a 35-point loss.
Spectacular: As in, Brett Favre was spectacular.
Perfect: As in, Favre was darn near perfect.
Fantastic: As in, Aaron Rodgers was fantastic. In between getting pummeled from all sides, he was just as good as Favre.
Same as: As in, if Rodgers had the quality of players around him that Favre did, his results would have been the same as Favre's.
Blitz: As in, guess the Packers decided not to blitz Favre.
Blitz (2): As in, guess deciding not to blitz Favre didn't work out so well.
Best: As in, besides Rodgers, the Packers best player is Charles Woodson. And he's also nearly the oldest.
Penalties: As in, are you (bleeping) kidding me with all the penalties on the Packers?
Penalties (2): As in, there's no (bleeping) way the Packers committed all of those penalties while the Vikings were only called for 2 in the whole game.
Outclassed: As in, Viking Jared Allen outclassed Packer Left Guard-turned-Left Tackle Darren Colledge.
Destroyed: As in, Viking Jared Allen destroyed Packer 3rd-string Left Tackle T.J. Lang.
ACL: As in, the way he went down, there was no doubt in my mind that Will Blackmon had blown out his ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) and was done for the season.
Invisible: As in, Greg Jennings was darn-near invisible for the 4th straight game.
Invisible (2): As in, A.J. Hawk was darn-near invisible too.
Emerging: As in, appears Jermichael Finely is emerging as a force in the passing game.
Super Bowl: As in, if the Vikings play every game the rest of the season the way they played on Monday Night, they will win the Super Bowl.
