Will This Be The Warmest Election Day On Record?

Since 1896, the warmest Presidential Election Day on record in Milwaukee was 74 degrees on Nov 3, 1964 (Lyndon Johnson over Barry Goldwater).

My forecast is for a high today of 72…in which case we’ll come up a bit short.

Also of note is that the 74 degree high in 1964 was the only time since 1896 that it’s been above 65 degrees on Election Day.  Today will be the second.

The coldest Election Day in Milwaukee was November 6, 1984 (Ronald Reagan over Walter Mondale) when Milwaukee had a low temperature of 26 degrees.

In the 28 Presidential Election Days since 1896, Milwaukee has had 8 dry years and 20 years with at least a trace.

The wettest Election Day in Milwaukee was November 8, 1932 (Franklin Roosevelt over Herbert Hoover) with 0.69” of rain.

Milwaukee has had 4 days with a least a trace of snow.  The most was of 0.3” on November 3, 1992 ( Clinton over Bush, Perot).

Enjoy!
