Hallelujah!

We did it.

Yep...we.

You and I are about the only ones who have been associated with the Brewers, uninterrupted, since 1982.

You and I have followed the team all 26 years since its last trip to the playoffs.  Players, coaches, managers, general managers and owners have come and gone.  But we've been here the whole time.

In fact, we've been around longer than 26 years.  My earliest memories of the Brewers date back to 1974.  That's 34 years.  And this is only the second time in those years we've felt like this.

Our time, our money, our emotions.  We've poured it all into this team year after year after year.  Somewhere deep in my brain I know it's illogical to be so obsessed with an activity in which I'm not even a participant.  Furthermore, it's also hard to figure why the success of others, those who are the participants, makes me feel so happy.  But...whatever.  It does.

It just does.

Even though we never once took the field.  Never threw one pitch, never took one swing.

But we were along for the whole ride.  We celebrated each victory.  We mourned each loss.

We invested.

And we did it.
