I've been thinking a lot lately about getting Lasik eye surgery.
So, yesterday I went to the doctor for a consult.
Yeah, cancel the Lasik.
Not because I decided against it.
It's because my corneas are too thin.
Yep. They did some measuring and testing and determined that my corneas are too thin for the procedure.
However, I was told that I could have a different, but similar, procedure.
That is called PRK.
Photorefractive keratectomy.
My corneas are okay for PRK.
I'm told the recovery time is a little longer...and there's a little more discomfort involved. And that it takes a little longer for the results (better vision) to occur.
At least that's what I've heard so far.
Now I want to hear from you.
Tell me all about it.
Who's had it?
Who knows someone who has had it?
Did it work?
Any trouble?
