There's something about us guys and movies, isn't there?

For some reason, we seem to have a favorite 5 or 10 movies that we think we know absolutely everything about.  We're constantly quoting lines from these movies...or relating something that happened in our lives to what happened in one of the movies.

Ladies, am I right?  And this drives you crazy, doesn't it?

Anyway, yes, I have a group of movies that I'm like this about.

Two of the movies high up on my list are "Caddyshack" and "Animal House".  Today, I learned something about these 2 movies that I never knew before.  And it's just the kind of inconsequential piece of trivia that I would know.

But I didn't.

Did you know that the same actress played both Clorette DePasto, the under-aged daughter of Mayor Carmine DePasto in "Animal House"...and Danny Noonan's girlfriend Maggie in "Caddyshack"?

Yep.  Her name is Sarah Holcomb.

How did I not know that?!?!

Here she is...the top 2 pictures are from "Animal House"...the bottom is from "Caddyshack"



She was 18 years old with long hair in "Animal House"...then went with the short hair and Irish accent in "Caddyshack".

Really...I can't believe I never noticed this!

I searched the internets and found this confirmed in many, many places.  And I found that many people have written the same thing I am writing now...that they had no idea either.

I'm digging out those DVDs tonight and checking this out.

Unfortunately, I have to report that as I searched for information about Sarah Holcomb, sad stuff kept popping up.  Turns out she's had a lot of personal problems, many reportedly related to drugs and alcohol.
