Packer Prediction

By Brian Gotter (WTMJ)

The 49ers come to town this weekend...that makes two weekends in a row that the Pack plays a past 90s rival.  In the 90s it was the Packers, Cowboys and Niners.  I still remember the Mud Bowl playoff game against the 49ers in 1996.  The field was destroyed and they had to rip it out before the NFC Championship Game, which was freezing cold as wind chills dropped to -20.  I still have a box of "Frozen Tundra" in my Packer room from when they sold the muddy field to fans in 1996.

These are not the same teams that fought for NFC supremacy in the 90s, but it will be a great game under the sunshine and highs near 50...in November...I may wear shorts.

The 49ers have a terrible offense, but that scares me against the Pack...D played well against a high powered Dallas offense last week, but may fall asleep against lesser team.  I hope not.  I want the D to dominate!  In addition, which Packer offense shows up?  The one that racks up the yards and has big pass plays, or the one that stumbles and has so many penalties that they move backwards.  You just never know and that is what is so frustrating.  The one thing I wish would happen; intense Mike Singletary shows Mike McCarthy how to get fired up and passionate about this game called football.

With all of that, the Packers will win 20-10 and improve to 6-4.

GO PACK GO!
