On our trip Up North last weekend Ali had a few moments of confusion and excitement.  When we explained that we were going on a trip she asked if we were going to stay in a hotel.  We said yes for a few nights.  She screamed "Yippee!"  "We get to stay in a hotel and play in the water park!"  Ummm, sweetie, no water park.  "But when we stay in hotel we play in water park."  The only time Ali has stayed in a hotel is when we go to the Dells and go to the huge indoor water parks.  We explained that the hotel has a pool, but no big slides...she was fine with that.  It is all she talked about while we were in the car.  "When do we get to the hotel so we can go SWIMMING?"  "Is this our hotel?"

To all of our surprise, the hotel we stayed at in Minocqua did have a few slides..nothing like the Dells, but it was fun and it was a great way to unwind and play with Ali after a long day in the car.

 I did forget...When we backed out of the driveway earlier in the day Ali said: "Are we there yet?"  She laughed and said I am just kidding daddy.  I am not sure if Tina put her up to that, but it was hilarious.

The other confused and exciting moment was when it began to snow while we were hiking on Saturday.  "It's snowing!!!!"  "I love snow.  Is this the snow that we can sled in and make snowman?"  It is snow, but not enough to sled.  It needs to get colder, but we are getting there.  Ali's response: "OOOOOH, I want to go sledding..I have missed it daddy." 

The snow will be here before you know it.
