Big Day for Gotter Girls

By Brian Gotter

Friday was a big day for Ali and Tina.

Friday was Tina's last day as a full-time employee at her company.  After working extremely hard and being the interim director of the Chicago office and being offered the job...she did a fantastic job of turning the office around in just a few months...Tina wants to cut back and spend more time with Ali.  It was Tina's plan to be able to cut back when Ali started school so that she was home when Ali got off the bus.  Tina will still work 3 days a week, and some weeks more, but she will drastically cut back.  She still gets to work from home and has to go to Chicago just a few times a month..ideal.  Congrats baby..you deserve it..now I have to get a part-time job...ha ha.

Friday was Ali's last day in daycare / preschool...the last day.  We are getting a raise..I guess I don't have to get that second job.  They tell yo to save for college and weddings, but they never tell you to save for daycare.  Ali's yearly daycare cost more than Tina and mine college for 4 years...that is sad.  Ali is very excited, but sad because she will miss some of her friends.  She is going to summer camp at her daycare for 3 days a week so she will be with a few of them, but Winnie, her best friend forever, is going to another school next year and will not be at summer camp.  Ali and Winnie have been together since we moved to Milwaukee almost 3 years ago...they were just over 1 year old.  They will always be friends.

Ali will be going to school in Grafton next year and making all new friends...and school is less than a mile from home..and Tina will be there when she gets home in the afternoon.

Here are a few pictures of Ali Friday morning before going to school..she wanted to wear her winter hat since it was cool and looked fashionable.  My how she has grown up this year.
