NBC has had HD programming for years, but our newscasts were in standard definition until 5am this morning.  Today's TMJ4 became the first TV station in the Milwaukee market to go HD.  Many hard working people have spent countless hours (maybe even slept at the station) over the past year getting this station ready for the conversion.  It is not just a simple flip of a switch..it is two switches.  Kidding.  The entire control room has new equipment and we now have HD studio and field cameras...not a cheap endeavor in tough economic times, but it had to be done.

The new graphics look awesome and now I am curious to see what HD has done for me...has it made me Highly Dorky (no, I am already that); Heavenly Dreamy (hardly)?  We shall see.  My apologies if your expensive TV cracks or your children start screaming at the large monster on the TV flapping his arms in front of weather maps. 

Enjoy the HD newscasts...now you will be able to see crime scenes in HD detail...Oh boy!!!!
