The Packer - Viking Game is always tough and one of the most intense and heated rivalries in football, and this game, the 96th meeting between the two teams.  Both teams are tied for second at 4-4 and this win is crucial if either team wants to win the division...especially now that the Bears have Grossman as their quarterback.

The Pack is coming off an awesome game against the Titans, which they lost in overtime and  I believe that game will linger and affect the boys on Sunday in the crazy Metrodome...aka the Big Diaper.  You have to admit, it looks like a diaper.

Our defense looks better, but we give up way too many rushing yards and Adrian Peterson will chew us up for big plays.  The other reason we will lose...because the local media has been talking about how McCarthy has dominated the Vikings since becoming head coach..he has not lost.  The Packers have won 5 in a row and that is all everyone around here is talking about.   It is the longest winning streak for the Packers against the Purple since 1983-1985.  If we win on Sunday for the 6th straight time, that ties the longest streak going back to 1961-1963...the Lombardi years. 

So now the team is jinxed from all this talk about the streak.

The Packers have won 4 out of the last 5 in the dome..a place they struggled to win for years and the series at the dome is now 23-23.  With the latest winning streak the Packers now lead the entire series 49-45-1 (including playoffs).

The Vikings will win Sunday 35-21.  It hurts to say it, but the streak ends and this loss may put the season in jeopardy.  I hope I am wrong, but it is just my gut feeling.  If we win, I believe the Pack wins the division.

If you are going to the Twin Cities this weekend...bundle up..highs this weekend will be in the upper 30s with flurries and wind.  Man I wish that game was in Lambeau and outside where real football is played!
