When I first met Tina more than 10 years ago I had a collection of sweater vests.  They were in style (so I thought), I liked them and they were comfortable on those days in north Florida when you needed a little more than a long sleeve shirt but did not need a bulky sweater or sweatshirt.  I would wear them golfing all the time...especially the argyle ones...I was so cool...so I thought.

Tina quickly stepped in and put her foot down...No more sweater vests...that is so 3 years ago...ooops!  She was just looking out for me...she cares.  Here I thought I was cool when I was actually showing how out of touch with fashion I was...oh well.  I got rid of a few of them but have stored my favorites in boxes. 

I have great news for my sweater vests...those babies will be freed from box life and will get to see the light of day...they probably need a good airing out as well.  We were in the mall the other week and what did I see...SWEATER VESTS, and many of them were argyle.  I am cool again.  They always say if you hold onto things long enough the style will come back.  I guess this just shows that I am getting older...I have made it through my first style cycle.  What's next...MC Hammer pants and the good old fashioned tuck and roll of the pants.  Those were the days along with the big bangs for teenage girls in the late 80s...hopefully that style will stay away.

Tina just rolls her eyes and smiles at me when I get all excited.  I would like to get a few new ones just to spruce up the collection and she laughs.  I had a blast looking at all the ads in the paper this week with argyle sweater vests on almost every page.  Watch out Milwaukee...Sweater Vest Gotter is back.
