Big news about babies yesterday.  Settle down, not us.  We are still in negotiations, but our friends have sealed the deal...many of our friends.  We found out about expecting babies from 3 of our friends.  I will start in reverse.

The final baby announcement happened last night when Ali and I were saying goodbye to Tina as she drove off to go to Chicago...she had meetings all day today.  Our neighbor walked over to say hi to Ali and I.  Ali has a crush on him and is always happy to see him.  We were talking and then he asked Ali if she wanted more friends in the neighborhood.  They are expecting their first.  I was so excited for him..they will make great parents.

The second was a few hours earlier when we were at dinner with another group of friends.  She was not having a cocktail for dinner and she quickly spilled the beans that they were a few weeks pregnant.  That would be their second.  Their son is Ali's future boyfriend...way future.

Finally, the day started with a phone call from our dear friends in Minnesota.  Becky and Justin have been friends of our for years and are just the greatest people.  They will be the best parents ever.  I can't explain how excited I am for them after all the problems they have faced.  They have been trying to have a baby for 5 years.  Stress, frustration and thousands of dollars later, they never gave up and will hopefully get through the pregnancy with no problems.  Now that they are pregnant, I pray they will be fine.

What a crazy day.  What is in the water.  Being the scientist that I am, I am wanting to research if there were winter storms on the days all these babies were conceived...that is my hypothesis.  It was a long winter.  The bundles of joy are all due between November and December.
