Superstar Country Girl Loves Sports

Brian Gotter

Ali would like everyone to know that she is a Superstar...in fact that is her favorite song on the radio right now.  When she hears it, she shouts..."Daddy our song, turn it louder please!"  "Louder, Louder!"  She sings right along with the song.  She lets me know she is a Superstar because she was on TV with me.  Oh Boy!

She is very proud of herself that she has gone #2 on the potty 6 days straight and has stayed dry for almost 3 weeks.  Now that is a Superstar!

Thought I would share a few things that she has done lately.  This morning on the drive in to work and school she asked me to honk the horn...she loves that.  I told her I couldn't because we were on the interstate.  I would do it later when we get off this road.  "Well Daddy, can you get off the road now?"  Sure thing dear...let me get right on that so I can honk the horn for you.

Ali is becoming a country girl like her mom.  Tina loves all music, but get her in a country bar doing some line dancing and she is in heaven.  Ali is quickly acquiring Tina's country side.  She has these hot pink cowgirl boots that she wants to wear all the time.  It does not matter what she is wearing and if they do not match.  She just  wants to wear her hot pink boots.  Everyone comments on them when we go to stores or restaurants.  You can't miss them...they glow.  She looks adorable.  Now she needs a hat and a horse.  Wait until Tina teaches her a few country dances...that will be classic.  Ali loves to dance.

Ali loves sports and is always carrying a ball.  If you ask her if she wants a doll or a ball, she will say ball every time.  As you know she loves her Packers and Brewers.  We were sitting on the couch yesterday watching the beginning of the Brewer game and she gets annoyed when the commercials come on.  "Daddy, I want my Brewers."  Wait a second, they will return.  When they come back on, she gets very excited.  We were in a restaurant late yesterday afternoon and they had the Brewer game on.  She started chanting "Go Brewers Go!"  That's my girl.  When we got home she did not want to take a nap so we sat down to relax and watch the end of The Masters.  She was mesmerized.  She sat on my lap and was commenting on every shot.  "Daddy, his ball went into the water.  Daddy, he missed the hole.  Who is that Daddy in the red shirt?"  That is Tiger.  Then she growled.  She loved the colors and the scenery.  Tina said she looked very relaxed...the golf and scenery were calming her.  She sat there for 90 minutes with me and was very into golf.  "Is he going to hit it into the water too?"  Then we started making bets if the golfer would make the put or not.  She was right more than me...she had a blast.

I told her I was going to start golfing again now that the weather is nicer.  "Dad, I come with you OK.  I like golf."  You sure can.  I have been trying to get mommy to come but she won't.  "No Mommy, just Daddy and Ali go golfing.  Mommy you can come, but no golfing. Only Daddy and Ali."

She is precious.
