Tina, Ali and I went to The Dells this past Sunday through Tuesday. We stayed with our friends, Jason, Melissa and their 19 month old daughter Emily, from Minnesota.
What a great trip! It is always a great time with them and just watching the girls have so much fun made it perfect.
Ali loved the water park last year when we went and she was so excited to go this year. It was all she talked about for 2 weeks. "Do we go to the Dells today?" When we got there she just went crazy.
She loved the giant wave pool and crashing into the waves with me. She was nonstop and wanted to go down all the water slides. I needed a nap! She got bored of the kiddie slides and wanted me to take her down the medium slides for bigger kids. After two times with me she wanted to go all by herself. She was all smiles and laughing all the way down as she held her arms straight up like she was on a roller coaster. When she reached the bottom where mommy was waiting, she wanted to run right back up to the top. We did not take her down the huge slides...I didn't want to freak her out just yet. She is a dare devil, but she may never go on a slide again after that experience.
Life has come full circle. My parents took us to the Dells and Noah's Ark a few times every summer when I was a kid. Now I am taking my daughter. At least we can go in the winter now. That city has changed so much in the past 10 years it is unbelievable.
Ali is already asking to go back. That is fine with me..I had a blast. I was a kid again with my daughter.
