While I have done OK in the 3 NCAA tournament brackets I am in, I have the Final Four correct. Many people took a beating in those early rounds, especially my 2 year old daughter.

I thought it would be fun to see if she could pick any better than me. This could have been humiliating.

I had 11 of the Sweet 16 teams…Ali just two. At least she had Wisconsin, and the other was Kansas . In the Final Four she had Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Michigan State , and Drake. She was always very excited to pick Wisconsin …she shouted it with great pride, as well as Notre Dame. I guess my brainwashing is working. Haha! In the Finals she had Wisconsin beating Drake. It was a nice thought, but that will not be happening since Wisconsin looked terrible last Friday and lost.

This was a lot of fun and I noticed two things as she was picking. She always picked the team you said last, except Wisconsin . I would change up the pairings and she always picked the last team I said, but always shouted Wisconsin regardless if it was first or second. That’s my Girl.

Second, I also noticed she was a huge fan of American, the 15 seeded team in the East bracket. When I said American, she would get so excited and say American with a big smile. In her bracket, American made it to the Elite 8 before being knocked off by Notre Dame...her future Alma Mater…I can only pray! Sorry, bad joke.

Ali is a huge American Idol fan and asks to watch it every night on the way home from school. “Are we watching American Idol tonight?” So her pick was based off the fact that she thought we were saying American Idol. Oh well, at least she ended the dream before American won the entire tournament.
