Mick Trevey joined the TODAY'S TMJ4 news team in October of 2005. His reporting assignments have included important breaking news stories including the death of President Gerald Ford, major flooding in western Wisconsin, and the Minneapolis bridge collapse.
Mick was honored by the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association for best breaking news coverage in 2007.
Mick comes to Milwaukee from WBAY-TV in
Green Bay. There, he specialized in coverage of the Steven Avery case and holds the distinction of being one of the few reporters in the state to be inside the Stanley Prison during Avery's release. Before working in Green Bay, Mick spent time at WREX-TV in his hometown of
Rockford, Illinois.

Mick graduated Cum Laude from
Marquette
University where he double majored in Broadcast and Electronic Communication and Political Science. He also minored in Theology. During college, Mick studied Politics for a semester at the
University of
Nottingham in England.
He shared a regional EMMY award for Best Public Affairs Series in 2003 for his reporting on the Milwaukee Public Schools TV show "Making the Grade." He's also an Eagle Scout.
Mick and his wife live in
Wauwatosa.
