Lauren LeamanczykLauren Leamanczyk joined TODAY'S TMJ4 in October of 2004 as a general assignment reporter. Even though she's a native Chicagoan, Milwaukee is the second Wisconsin city Lauren has called home. Prior to working at TODAY'S TMJ4, Lauren was a reporter at WKOW-TV, the ABC affiliate in Madison.

While in Madison, Lauren covered stories ranging from the disappearance of Audrey Seiler to two Halloween riots to all night debates at the state capitol. Lauren's primary focus, though, was on covering local government. Lauren also won a Wisconsin Broadcasters Association award for her coverage of a prison escape in central Wisconsin.

Lauren's a reporter who loves to dig for information and tell the stories that make an area unique. She's excited to continue to tell those stories in Southeast Wisconsin.

Before her move north to Wisconsin, Lauren enjoyed the slightly warmer climate of Central Missouri. Lauren graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in political science. She got her start in broadcasting in Columbia as a reporter and anchor at KOMU-TV.

Lauren has been a frequent visitor to Milwaukee for Summerfest and all the other summertime activities the city is known for. Now she can't wait to get to know the ins and outs of Milwaukee as a resident and a reporter.

In her free time, Lauren loves to try new restaurants and explore neighborhood shops. To really unwind though, you'll find Lauren working out or curled up with a good book.
