Heather Shannon joined TODAY'S TMJ4 in April of 2006 as a General Assignment Reporter. A native of
Brookfield, she is thrilled to be working at the station she grew up watching.
Heather is a graduate of
Brookfield
Central
High School and UW-Madison, where she received degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Public Relations. While studying at UW, Heather moved to
London for a semester to study European Union politics.
Before coming to TODAY'S TMJ4, Heather was a reporter and anchor for three years at WVTV,
Milwaukee 's WB affiliate. While at WB she broke several stories including uncovering a domestic servant being held illegally in the basement of a home in one of
Brookfield's wealthiest neighborhoods. Heather has also worked as an anchor and reporter at KFXB in Dubuque, Iowa, and as a producer at WMTV in
Madison.
When Heather is not reporting, you will find her cooking, traveling, or spending time outdoors. In her free time she enjoys running, playing tennis, golfing (very, VERY badly), and spending weekends at her family's lake cottage.
