Melissa McCrady joined TODAY'S TMJ4 in June of 2006 as a general assignment reporter. She graduated cum Laude from Bowling Green State University and hails from Cleveland. Although Melissa is a Cleveland Browns fan, she says she can handle cheering on the Packers. After all, they signed Ohio State Buckeye A.J. Hawk.
Melissa comes to us from WNWO-TV, the NBC affiliate in Toledo, Ohio. Prior to that, she worked for the NBC affiliate, KDLT-TV, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She's covered a variety of national stories including the Nazi riot that broke out in Toledo and the murder conviction of a Catholic Priest, Father Gerald Robinson, who killed a nun. Melissa won an Associated Press award for Spot News coverage.
Melissa is an active volunteer with the Arthritis Foundation. She helped the Toledo Chapter launch its first annual 5K walk/run. Now she is helping the Wisconsin chapter with various events including the Jingle Bell Run/Walk for arthritis. She enjoys boating, movies and watching and playing sports.
